Enabling Remote Support via Veeam Cloud Connect

Requirements for enabling management:

  1. You must be running Veeam Backup and Replication version 9.5 update 2 or higher
  2. You must have an active Veeam Cloud Connect service with vGRID
  3. You are also using 'vGRID Cloud Connect - Veeam Backup License'
  4. You have provided login credentials for your Veeam server/services

 

Steps to enable the management:

Open Veeam Backup and Replication console

Click 'Backup Infrastructure' menu

Click on 'Service Providers' in the menu, then highlight your vGRID Cloud Connect connection. Right click on the selection and select the Properties option from the drop down menu.

Tick the box 'Allow this Veeam Backup & ....' & click Next button

Click through the wizard until finished.

Finally, pass on the local login credentials to the vGRID Support Staff (if you have not already done so previously).
