How to purchase and provision Microsoft 365 licenses in the vGRID Customer Portal
Microsoft 365 subscription plans can be purchased in the vGRID Customer portal.
- Log into the vGRID Customer Portal - https://customer.vgrid.nz
- Go to Services > Microsoft CSP menu option
Adding a Microsoft Tenancy
- If you already have a Microsoft Tenancy and/or existing Microsoft / Office 365 subscriptions, please contact the service desk to arrange for your tenancy to be linked to vGRID Account.
- Otherwise you will to click on the "+ Activate My Account" button, and fill in all the required information, and click the submit button.

If you have already fulfilled this requirement, then move on to the next step.
BUYING A NEW SUBSCRIPTION LICENSE
To start purchasing Microsoft 365 licenses, on the 'General' tab, click the 'Add Subscription' button. A wizard will pop up, which will guide you through purchasing Microsoft 365 licenses.
Step 1: Choose your billing frequency.
Step 2: Expand out the sections and select the Microsoft subscription of choice by ticking the check-box of your preferred plan and entering the number of licenses you would like to purchase.
Note that you can select multiple licenses.
Once you've confirmed your pick of licenses, click "Next Step".
Step 3: Check that the licenses and quantities are correct and then click the add button.
note: If you already have users in your Microsoft 365 tenancy, you will have the option to assign the new licenses to those users.
Setting up new users / assigning licenses
- Go to the 'Users and Licenses' tab, then 'Add User' button.
- Fill in all the required information and assign a license to your new user by the clicking the check-box of the required license below (see below image for reference). You will notice that in your case, the number of available licenses will be equivalent to what you recently purchased in the previous step.
- Once you're satisfied with your purchases and assignments, click the "SYNC" button situated at the top right corner of the page.
- For an overview of all your subscriptions and licenses, click the General Tab. You should see the following:
- You should have an overview presentation of your licenses and subscriptions similar to the image below.
- The red areas highlight some important and additional functions:
- The add-on button allows you to your add additional features to your existing Microsoft 365 plan.
- The Pencil button allows you to edit your Microsoft 365 subscription license quantities. This allows you to increase or decrease your license seat count.
- The Pause button allows you to cancel your subscription.
- The status column displays what state your license is currently in and when it auto renews.
- The Sync button allows you to sync up new subscription or user changes to Microsoft's system.
- You should have an overview presentation of your licenses and subscriptions similar to the image below.
