There may be times when User Accounts need to be Edited such as Password change, Account Name change, Email change, etc. Below are the steps for Editing User Account and for Deleting or Deactivating Account.
Currently, full Edit function can be done via the Backup Client only but Password Change can be done via the Customer Portal.
Steps to Edit an Account via Client
- Click the Settings tab on the left column menu
- Under Settings on the right column menu Click Account which will bring up the Account settings window
Please note the fields that can be Edited below under Server and Preferences
3. Change the desired Field then Click OK
Delete an Account or Deactivate Service
This action can be performed from the vGRID Customer Portal.
Account Deletion and Service Deactivation can be performed from 'ALL USER' tab and 'DEACTIVATE SERVICE' tab respectively which is found at the top right-hand corner menu
Steps to Delete an Account
- Click 'ALL USERS' tab which will bring up the 'Overview of all VGRID Protect users' window
- Select the user account you wish to delete then Click the delete button
- Please carefully read the WARNING window before proceeding to the next step
4. If you wish to continue type YES or yes then Click OK
5. If you need to delete more accounts just perform the step above otherwise Click Close.
Steps to Deactivate Service
- Click the 'DEACTIVATE SERVICE' tab
- Please carefully read the WARNING window before proceeding to the next step
3. If you wish to continue type YES or yes then Click OK, otherwise Click Cancel
