Incompatible version of Veeam Explorers will give error when connecting. Please ensure you are using latest version of Veeam Explorers (13.4.0.x).
To check version you currently use, look at the version information in file properties:
- Location: C:\Program Files\Veeam\Backup and Replication\Explorers\Exchange\
- File: Veeam.Exchange.Explorer.exe
Latest version of Veeam Explorers can be found in latest installer for Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 8.4. Download the .iso and navigate to Explorers folder (install them) and Patches folder (install them too). Link: https://www.veeam.com/kb4843

Please follow the sequence of installation. Install the Explorers first, then install the Patches. No restart is required.
Microsoft Outlook is also required (must be installed) when using Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange.
