Each vGRID account can have multiple user accounts that will be able to access. And a single user account can also be granted access to multiple vGRID Accounts
Definitions of User Roles
vGRID has three defined User Roles that can be applied to individual user accounts.
- User Account - has access to see and provision services under the vGRID account.
- Billing Account - has access to see and provision services + see invoicing under the vGRID account.
- Admin Account - has full access to see and provision services + see invoicing + manage accounts under the vGRID account
Adding a new Login to your account.
Log into the vGRID Customer portal with an 'Admin' account
Click on the Account in the left hand menu
Click on the Team tab
Fill in the field:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Select the User Role : Admin, User, or Billing
Click the Add Member button
The user should then receive an email to active their account and set a password.
Removing or Editing User accounts
You will need to login with an account that has Admin permissions.
To delete a user, click on the Trashcan icon
To Edit a user, click on the Pencil icon. This will allow you to edit the following:
- Name
- Email address
- Permissions (Admin, User, or Billing)
Click on the Save button to complete the changes or the Cancel button to reverse them.
Having a user account that can access more than one vGRID Account
These are termed as 'Linked Accounts' and are based on the email address of the User account.
In each vGRID account, create a user login with the same email address.
Then to change between vGRID accounts, simply click on the Account menu
Next, up in the top right hand corner (next to the HELP button), click on the Account Name. You should then see a drop-down list of the accounts that your user account can access.
Select the account from this list that you wish to access.
